Role of the Governing Body
The role of the Governing Body is to ensure that the school is continually reflecting on and improving its practice in order to create a learning environment in which all the children can achieve the best possible outcomes.
Mr P Grieve Co-opted governor, Chair
Peter is a former business owner with a broad knowledge of HR, finance, property management and marketing, having previously developed key managerial skills as part of the senior management team of a FTSE 100 company.
Now retired, he has taken up the role as Chair of the LAB and is keen to ensure the school continues to provide a safe, happy learning environment for our children whilst fully supporting the teaching team.

Mr Peter Hollick, Vice Chair
Peter is a Parent Governor. As a Parent Governor I am very keen that the school continues to be both academically successful and provides a happy, supportive environment for our children. I have one son at the school and I am usually in the playground a couple of mornings every week, which helps me keep in touch with school life. My work as a Chartered Engineer involves leading small teams to solve problems within a limited budget. Hopefully this gives me skills and experience that will be useful to the governing body. In my spare time I like to spend as much time outdoors as possible.

Mrs Rebecca Hibell - Headteacher
Rebecca joined Madresfield as Head of School in September 2024 before being appointed Headteacher in September 2025.
Mrs Lorna Bradshaw
Lorna is our Staff Governor. She is class teacher for years 3 and 4 and SENDCo.
Mr Andrew Hackley Co-opted governor
I am now Headteacher at St Oswald's School in Kidderminster having previously been Executive Head Teacher for Madresfield. We work closely together, along with the other DoWMAT schools, to ensure we provide the best possible experience in school for all children.
Mr David Radley
David is a Foundation Governor appointed by the Worcester Diocesan Board of Education.
After retiring as a GP in Malvern 9 years ago, I became a volunteer reader at Madresfield School. As a result of this, I became more involved with the school and became a governor in September 2017. I am the governor with responsibility for safeguarding, pupil premium and Looked After children.
Mr Geoff Evans
Geoff became a Parent Governor in 2025. He has a child in Kestrels class and a younger child due to start in Robins class in September 2027. Geoff trained as a physicist and works as a Chartered Engineer in product development. Geoff became a governor to contribute to the supportive and nurturing learning environment at Madresfield and is grateful for the dedication of the staff and the wider parent community who help sustain it.
