    Supporting Children and Families

At Madresfield, the wellbeing of every child sits at the heart of all that we do. We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, valued, and supported, and we are committed to working in partnership with families to ensure that every child can thrive both academically and emotionally.

    How We Support Families

We recognise that parenting can be both rewarding and challenging. Our aim is to walk alongside you by offering:

    • A welcoming, open‑door approach—our staff are always here to talk.
    • Advice, guidance, and signposting to local services for areas such as mental health, early help, parenting support, or financial challenges.
    • Workshops and information sessions on wellbeing, learning, and practical strategies for home.
    • Regular communication so you feel fully informed about your child’s progress and experiences in school.

Our 'Supporting Children and Families' Offer can be found at the bottom of this page with the Worcestershire Early Help Offer Booklet.

If you feel that you could benefit from any additional support, please do make an appointment to speak with Mrs Harriet Thomas via the school office.

    Working in Partnership:

    • We can refer children experiencing difficulties with a wide range of mental health and physical issues to the School Health Nursing Team. Please speak to Mrs Harriet Thomas if you would like to access this support. They offer online support through their web link below for young people on topics such as bullying, mental health and wellbeing, alcohol and drugs misuse, relationships, homelessness and much more.
